Hash definition

hash एक तरह का function होता है जो की एक वैल्यू value को दूसरी value में convert करता है। डाटा को hash करना एक common practice है जो की कंप्यूटर की दुनिया में प्रयोग होता है। जैसे :- cryptography, compression, and data indexing.

hashing एक तरह की cryptography है क्युकी ये original डाटा को छुपता है। एक hash function use किया जाता है value को generate करने के लिए और ये केवल hash table से ही decode किया जा सकता। इस table में array,database या data structure होते है। एक अच्छा hash function को decode करना नामुमकिन होता है। 

hashing के द्वारा डाटा को smaller values में बाटा जाता है, media files को smaller chunks  में बाटा जा सकता है। ये इस प्रकार की hashing है जिसमे इसे reverse करना संभव नहीं है। 

hash को checksums create करने के लिए भी इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। एक checksum small value है जो की bits में generate किया जाता है। जब checksum को run किया जाता है तो ये same hashed value को produce करता है, जो की original file की hash value होती है। अगर file same checksum को produce नहीं करती है, तो इसका मतलब है की file में कुछ change है। 

बड़ी-बड़ी companies जैसे facebook,twitter और google आपके username को plain text में रखता है, लेकिन password हमेशा hashed होता है क्युकी अगर कभी database हैक हो गया तो हैकर password को decode न कर पाए और बहुत ज्यादा chances होते है की password decode नहीं हो पाता है।

plain text को hash कैसे करे ?

1. सबसे पहले अपने browser को open करके www.md5hashgenerator.com लिखे और enter कर दे। 
2. अब आपको plain text लिखना होगा जिसे आप hash में convert करना चाहते है और लिखने के बाद generate के button पर click करे। 
3. आपका hash value तैयार है।
