BOT definition
एक bot automatic program जो की पुरे इंटरनेट पर घुमता है। कुछ bots automatically होते है, तोह कुछ को input की जरुरत होती है। बहुत तरह के bots होते है, उनमे से कुछ के नाम web crawlers, chat bots, और malicious bots है।

Web crawlers को search engine इस्तेमाल करते है, वे इसे websites को scan करने के लिए प्रयोग करते है। web crawlers complex algorithm का इस्तेमाल करते है, वे इसकी मदद से पुरे वेबसाइट के pages को check करते है और वो यूजर को सबसे ज्यादा searched queries दिखाते है।

chat bots शुरुवाती समय के कुछ automated programs में से एक है। ये 1990s में बहुत popular हुआ था, इसे online chatrooms से काफ़ी popularity हासिल हुई। chat bots एक script होती है जिसमे text pattern programed होते है। जब यूजर कोई बात लिकता तोह chat bot उसका reply करते है। एक chat bot किसी भी यूजर को उसकी खराब language के लिए warning दे सकता है, और अगर यूजर नहीं मानता है तोह chat bot उसे chat room से block कर देते है और दोबारा आने भी नहीं देते है।

जबकि ज्यादातर bots को production के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है, कुछ को malware माना क्युकी वो malwaric functions perform करते है। उदहारण के लिए spambots बहुत सारी websites से email address चुरा लेते है। Site scrapers पुरी वेबसाइट को डाउनलोड कर लेते है। DoS bots websites पर जाके उसे unresponsive बनाते है। Botnets तोह सबसे खतरनाक होता है, इसमें बहुत सारे bots एक साथ काम करते है, और ये कई बार तोह कंप्यूटर system पर unauthorized access पाने में सफल हो जाते है, ये आपके कंप्यूटर में viruses को भी import करते है।
